Israel, Hamas agree to phase 1 of Trump peace deal to release hostages, begin ceasefire Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Cabinet on Thursday approved the first phase of President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan that was rolled out nine days earlier. In exchange for Hamas releasing the rest of the Israeli hostages, 20 of whom are believed to still be alive, the Israel Defense Forces will institute a ceasefire and implement a partial withdrawal from its current positions. The hostages will reportedly be set free by Sunday or Monday, although it may take additional time for Hamas to locate the bodies of those who have died.

“According to the signed agreement, the prisoner exchange is set to begin on Monday morning (10/13) as agreed, and there are no new developments on this matter,” Osama Hamdan says in an interview with AFP. Osama Hamdan is a Palestinian diplomat and senior Hamas official known for his roles as a representative in Lebanon and Tehran as a key figure in Hamas’s international relations and political activities.

My Comments: Israelis are dancing in the streets of Jerusalem and calling for Pres. Trump to be the Nobel Peace Prize winner! But Au Contraire, the Nobel committee has gone ‘Woke” and given the 2025 Peace Prize to María Corina Machado who has long been the face of resistance to Venezuela’s 26-year ruling party. Now, she may become a symbol of peace as well. The Nobel prizes have come to mean nothing. Remember, they gave a peace prize to Obama who did nothing and knows nothing.
