A Day in the Supreme Court of Heaven
Judge Moses Presiding
Scenario: Mr. Satan tells Mr. Mitchell that he has had a stroke and he will never recover and he will kill him. Mr. Mitchell tells Satan he is a liar and that “No weapon formed against me will prosper” (Isaiah 54:17) and “The wicked one touches me not”. (John 5:18) Mr. Mitchell adds “if you don’t shut up and get out of here you may go to the bottomless pit early”. Satan gets really angry because he’s not used to his victims talking back to him like that. He was also fearful of going to the pit early so he sues Mr. Mitchell for slander and the case winds up in the Supreme Court of Heaven. Judge Moses is presiding so he convenes a three judge panel of The Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost to decide the case.
Judge Moses: Court is now in session. Mr. Satan what is your complaint?
Satan: I’m suing Mr. Mr. Mitchell for slander because he has accused me of lying about his having a stroke. My reputation is at stake.
Judge Moses: Well I have heard of your “reputation” but what did Mr. Mitchell say?
Satan: He said “No weapon formed against me can prosper”. Then he called me wicked and threatened to throw me into the bottomless pit”.
Judge Moses: Mr. Satan, what is the proof of your claim that Mr. Mitchell has had a stroke?
Satan: Well Mr. Mitchell was taken to the emergency room at St. Joseph’s and they admitted him and treated him for symptoms of a stroke. He can’t lift his left hand.
Judge Moses: Mr. Mitchell, how do you plead?
Mr. Mitchell: I am innocent Your Honor and I plead The Blood.
Judge Moses: Can you clarify “Plead the Blood” for our Three Judge panel and for any witnesses that might be called? The Panel wants to be sure you are on solid scriptural ground and that you are not just using hearsay to defend yourself.
Mr. Mitchell: Yes Your Honor, I can. Rev. 12:11 says that we believers have overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of our testimony. The Blood of the Lamb is the pure undefiled blood of Jesus Christ which was shed for our SALVATION. Salvation is the Greek word “Sozo”, which means Saved, Healed, and Prosperous.
Judge Moses: Well said Mr. Mitchell, testimony is exactly what we’re looking for here. What other testimony can you give that will corroborate your first one? Every fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. 2 Cor. 13:1
Mr. Mitchell: Well Your Honor, there is the Prophet Isaiah who said “By his stripes ye are healed” – Isa. 53:5, there is the Apostle, Peter who said in 1 Pet. 2:24 – By his wounds you have been healed. So counting the Apostle John in Rev. 12:11 that make three witnesses. Will that do sir?
Satan: I object! Mr. Mitchell is trying to get the Judge to testify in his behalf.
Judge Moses: Hold on Mr. Satan. Before I rule on your objection we need to have a little sidebar here. Let us speak to our distinguished Three Judge Panel and get their opinion. (Judge Moses then turns to the Panel and asks them “What do you think of Mr. Mitchell’s three witnesses, statement? This was their reply: There are three that bear witness in heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Ghost, and there are three that bear witness in the earth, the spirit, the water, and the blood. 1 John 5:7, 8.
Judge Moses: Objection overruled.
Satan: But, but Constitution Law and the laws of nature don’t say anything about that. I still strongly object!
Judge Moses: Mr. Satan, The Panel has a higher authority than any constitutional law or the laws of nature. It’s called the Word of God. I think you are vaguely familiar with parts of it. Objection overruled! He then turns to the three judge Panel and asks “Do you have a decision, now, Sirs?”
Three Judge Panel: Mr. Mitchell has provided more than adequate proof to claim his healing, therefore we find in favor of Mr. Mitchell. His healing is assured by three witnesses. If we explored the whole of scriptures we would find hundreds more to confirm his testimony but that would take all day. Case dismissed. Court is adjourned!
Mr. Mitchell goes his way rejoicing in his healing and thanking the Lord for His faithfulness. He then remembers the old Perry Mason program where the Prosecuting Attorney, Hamilton Burger loses every case. He laughs to himself as he realizes that Satan is the same way. When adequate evidence is presented to the Court of Heaven Satan also loses every case. Praise the Lord!
