Gov Shutdown Over?
Schumer in Trouble!

A potential end to the longest government shutdown in U.S. history came into focus on Monday evening when the Senate began taking a series of votes on a bipartisan proposal to reopen the government.
A group of eight Senate Democrats joined Republicans in an agreement to overcome the filibuster and approve a funding bill that will reopen the government. If the votes pass, the legislation would move to the House of Representatives, which is expected to vote on it as soon as Wednesday.
The bills being considered in the Senate would fund most of the government until Jan. 30 and extend funding for certain key programs, including food stamps and veterans’ benefits, through the end of September.
My Comments: If this “Minor Miracle” comes to pass in a few days, as expected, it will be a victory for House Speaker, Mike Johnson and a major defeat for “Chuckie” Schumer. Some, among the Dems, are already calling for his tenure as their Senate leader to end ASAP! Can you spell “Political Hack?”
PS, More good news: Pres. Trump is planning on giving every American (Citizen) a bonus of approx $2,000 from all the money coming to the U.S. Treasury from all the trade tariffs he has imposed on other countries! Huaah!
