IDF strikes said to kill 7 in Gaza, as Israel vows Hamas will ‘pay’ for violations. Strikes come after terror operatives fire at soldiers in Rafah, fake ‘unearthing’ hostage remains; Hamas nixes planned release of deceased captive Tuesday night.

The order for the strikes came after an Israeli official said its forces were fired upon in southern Gaza and after Hamas handed over body parts on Monday that Israel said were the partial remains of a hostage recovered earlier in the war.

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement that Hamas would pay a “heavy price for attacking Israeli soldiers in Gaza and for violating the agreement on returning the deceased hostages.” Israel notified the United States before launching the strikes on Tuesday, according to two U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

US Vice President JD Vance struck an upbeat note Tuesday. “The president achieved a historic peace in the Middle East. The ceasefire is holding,” he said — projecting the calm assurance of someone for whom “holding” now seems to allow for the occasional airstrike.

His comments came just hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered powerful strikes on Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the US-brokered truce. Gaza’s civil defense said at least two people were killed and four others wounded in the latest bombardment on the Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City.

My Comments: Most Americans believe that Hamas cannot be trusted to keep any peace agreement. That is because their prime objective is to destroy Israel! America must also know that there is no agreement between her and those who want to destroy us!
