Words “That don’t mean nothin’”
By Hal Mitchell
When I was in the Army there was a guy in our outfit who grew up in a Polish neighborhood in MN. His understanding of English wasn’t very good so he would respond to some of us who had a couple of years of college with “WORDS!” and “All you say are words that don’t mean Nothin!”
That was a long lead-in to my message, but I just heard a comment on NEWSMAX from New York Congressman, Dan Goldman, (Dem) who is calling for the NYPD to arrest federal immigration agents (ICE) who are “raiding businesses operated by U.S. citizens in the Bowery”.
These “raids” came as a result of a report from an Independent Journalist saying that Illegal Aliens were selling contraband goods on the streets there. It became so crowded that one could hardly walk down the street.
Goldman went on to use these “Words” in a letter to the NYPD. “It is abundantly clear that the Trump administration is unwilling to police its own officers or hold them accountable for gross misconduct”. “Accordingly, NYPD — pursuant to the department’s own mission, values and oath of office — has an obligation to intervene and take appropriate action, including arrest, when federal immigration officers engage in conduct that is unlawful under state law and beyond the scope of their federal enforcement authority.” WORDS!
Tricia McLaughlin, assistant secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which oversees ICE, criticized Goldman’s request in a statement.
“The real thugs the NYPD should be helping arrest are the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens that Congressman Goldman and his fellow sanctuary politicians have allowed to terrorize the people of New York City,” she said, referring to sanctuary protections for undocumented immigrants.
