Solving a Common Problem
There are some dedicated Christians (Hereafter called The DC) who have been treated unfairly by Carnal Christians. (Hereafter called the CC) It goes this way: The DC becomes vulnerable to the CC by giving up her (For expediency’s sake I will use “she” the feminine form for the DC) will to the CC just as Jesus did for the church. However, the CC uses this vulnerability for his advantage. The DC then becomes offended which she has promised God she would not do.
The DC blames herself for the problem and recoils from close relations with other CC’s and consequently becomes even further isolated from Christians in general. That isolation only allows the devil more access to her mind than before.
A good example of this is when a husband controls his wife (God is not happy with this plan) by using the scripture in Eph. 5:23 – For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Caveat: When a DC yields her will to you for Christ’s sake avoid God’s displeasure by also yielding your will to her. You will be happy if you do.
All Christians should also avoid strife. James 3:16-17 (KJV) For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
