My PCP

My PCP
By Hal E. Mitchell

Medicine is so complicated in this day and age
What with all the specialists it hard to guage
Who is best and which is the test for this old Sage

There are “Ologists” everywhere, even in the air
Cardiologists for the heart & Dermatologists for the hair
Anesthesiologists & Immunologists; my sanity please spare

Can’t we just go back to a simpler time?
When everything seemed to rhyme
And doctoring didn’t take every dime

“But you have insurance” the experts say
And “Big Pharma” to carry the day
Just sign this form; you don’t have to pay

Maybe my horse doctor can show me the way
He made my horse well enough to pull the dray
But when I asked my horse he said “Neigh”.

So I made Jesus my PCP! (See Below)
(MT 9:12 – TLB)
“People who are well don’t need a doctor! It’s the sick people who do!”
